ENTRY CRITERIA
TVET offers a wide range of learning opportunities for students of different education and professional (work) backgrounds, emphasizing on its flexibility in reviewing qualifications and enrolling and preparing students for practical skills training.

SECTORS
Gambia’s largest industries are open to employees with a TVET background. Including Real Estate and Construction, Hotels, Engineering, and IT. The steady grow of our economy means there are many employment opportunities to tap into.

APPRENTICESHIPS
TVET offers a period of professional work experience by an organization for a limited period. These practical internships are used practice for a wide range of placements in businesses, non-profit organizations and government agencies.

What is TVET?

"Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is the education or training process where it involves, in addition to general education, the study of technologies and related sciences and acquisition of practical skills relating to occupations in various sectors of economic life and social life, comprises of formal (organized programs as part of the school system) and non-formal (organized outside the school system) approaches" - UNESCO.
TVET institutes provide courses and training programs related to employment and entrepreneurship with a view to supply the labor market with skills and expertise needed for economic growth. |
